Significance of Ganga Dussehra ( 20 June ,2020)

Goddess Ganga came on Earth on rthis day after the great penance of saint Bhagirath. It is believed that if one recites the Ganga Stotram on this day, while standing in the water of Ganges, gets relieved from the curses of all the sins.

In Hinduism, the river Ganges is considered sacred and is personified as a goddess known as Ganga. It is worshipped by Hindus who believe that bathing in the river causes the remission of sins and facilitates Moksha (liberation from the cycle of life and death). Pilgrims travel long distances to immerse the ashes of their kin in the precious water of the Ganges, bringing their spirits closer to moksha.

No words , No phrases can describe Ganga in her wholesomeness. You will find no end of her  generosity to mankind when you will think of her as a mother.
