This portal is an effort to keep informations related to conservation of the Ganges river at a single point.The Ganga river is truely the life-line of India.All aspects of the life of Indian people significantly depend on this sacred rivers.Thee uses of the Ganges water are multidimensional and its socio-economic and cultural importance is simply impossible to measure.It is need of the hour that everyone should contribute in conservation of the Ganges.The Government of India is executing different schemes for improving water quality of this river and many organisations at local ,national as well as International level are actively involved in ecological restortaion of the Ganges.This portal is created to bring different informations as well as openions of stakeholders before you to have an insight into current scenario of the Ganges conservation in India. We are seeking active support of everyone to contribute in making this portal more informative and usefull.In futute we plan to organise awareness generation programmes among communities to contribute physically,Intellectually as well as finacially for this great cause.If you have any creative idea in this regard, please write us immediately. We created this portal after seeing rampant pollution and disposal of different bio as well as non-biodegradable waste in the Ganges due to diifferent socio-economic and cultural reasons. A sincere effort of people at grass roots backed with a sound governmental policy can help a lot in improving current sad state of the Ganges , which is truely the 'mother of millions'. We organise special interest trips and retreats to seek attnetion of participants towards the vital importance of water resources in fulfilling our basic needs as well as intellectual and spiritual needs.These activities will enable us to generate finances to speard our activities in an effective manner.
